Longfellow 7th grade wins 1st Rd game but falls in semifinal

GJW 8th grade girls win big

LCS Student-Athlete of the Week – Mikiya Hermon

Longfellow 7th grade basketball player Mikiya Hermon is this week’s Student-Athlete of the Week.  Mikiya has started the season off strong in leading her team to a 3-0 start while averaging 19.3 points per game.  Mikiya leads both on the court and in classroom where she carries a 3.6 GPA.     

GJW 7th grade boys finish season undefeated!

The GJW 7th grade boys defeated Bedford Heskett by a score of 59-39 to win the LEL championship. The story all season has been the overall team defense of the Titans. They were led in scoring by Devante Jackson with 13, and Kamron Thomas, Aiden Brown and Jay Lee each added 11. The 7th grade

GJW 8th wins LEL Tournament Championship!

The GJW 8th grade boys defeated Milkovich by a score of 61-52 to win the LEL boys basketball championship. The team finished the season 16-3 overall which included two regular season losses to Milkovich.  Jordan Jackson earned Tournament MVP scoring 23 points in the final.  Daylin Dower was awarded Best Defensive Player while scoring 17 points,

Student-Athlete of the Week – Josh Fenn

The Student-Athlete of the Week is senior bowler Josh Fenn.  He bowled outstanding this week while having great concentration and exhibiting outstanding sportsmanship.  Josh bowled games of 269 and 225 for a high 2-game series of 494.  This was a personal best, and it resulted in a win for the Titans team.  Josh is also a member of

GJW wrestling continues winning ways

The GJW wrestling team had another good night winning both matches, 48-24 against Roxboro and 48-30 against Heritage.  The team was able to win 16 out of 19 matches. GJW 7th wins big in semifinal

The 7th grade boys defeated Cleveland Hts. Monticello by a score of 59-21. Once again, the Titans smothered the opposition with great team defense. They were led in scoring by Jay Lee with 10 points, and Kamron Thomas and Devante Jackson both with 8 points. The 7th grade boys are now 15-0!  They play today

Southview Night Update

So far, we have 38 former players and coaches registered for “Southview Night” on Friday, Feb 19, 2016 which will be the last regular season basketball game played in the old Southview gymnasium. We will also be recognizing legendary basketball coach Larry Stark that evening. The varsity boys will be facing Cleveland Heights in a tripleheader

OHSAA Wrestling Dual Team Tournament
