LCS Scholar-Athlete of the Week – Miguel Wilson

The Lorain City Schools Scholar-Athlete of the Week is freshman cross country runner Miguel Wilson. Miguel hit his personal record last week at Vermilion where he ran a 26:54.  He has been pushing himself to break the 30 minute barrier for the last 3 weeks where he was finally able to accomplish his goal.  Miguel

GJW volleyball defeats Monticello

Congratulations to the General Johnnie Wilson 7th grade volleyball team in their win over Monticello Middle School yesterday by scores of  25-12  and 25-15.  High scorers for the Lady Titans were Jordana Torres and Daniella Ortiz.    General Johnnie Wilson’s next game is scheduled for Thursday, October 3, 2019 at home against Longfellow Middle School at 4:30

We are in search of former Lorain City Schools’ athletes that lettered in college for our Wall of Fame.  Those chosen will have their collegiate picture enlarged, framed, and hung in the lobby at Lorain High School.  Each nominee must meet the following criteria: Graduate from Lorain City Schools Lettered at a 4-year college Graduated

Lorain volleyball loses tough battle with Keystone

Lorain High varsity volleyball lost a hard fought battle with Keystone on Saturday in 5 sets – 25-20, 14-25, 21-25, 26-24, 13-15.  Julissa Williams had 22 kills followed by Brooklyn Ferguson with 12 kills.
