2019-20 Ternes Award Winners – Naya Smith and Savion Noble

The recipients of the 2019-20 Ternes Award  are Naya Smith and Savion Noble.  This award is presented to the athlete that is the “unsung hero”.  These athletes have impacted their teams in ways that doesn’t necessarily show up on the stat sheet or in the newspapers. Naya Smith was a member of the basketball team.

Savon Chavis committs to The College of Wooster

Senior football standout Savon Chavis will be continuing his football career at The College of Wooster.  Savon was a 4-year starter and workhorse of the team.  He played running back, linebacker and defensive back, and rarely came off the field.  Savon rushed for 515 yards (5.2 per carry) and 6 TDs.  On defense, he finished

The Lorain High Courageous Student Award winners for 2019-20 are Jordan Jackson and Deshanti Gore.  This award goes to an athlete who has overcome great adversity in a positive way.
