Scholarship opportunities for LHS seniors!

Applications for the J. Ed Uland Scholarship and OHSAA Scholar-Athlete Scholarship are now available in the athletic department office at Lorain High.  The deadline for the OHSAA Scholar-Athlete is February 28, and the deadline for the J. Ed Uland is March 9.

LHS Cheerleaders headed to state!

For the first time in school history, the Lorain High Cheerleading squad will be competing for a state title!  Lorain High competed against the best squads in Northeast Ohio on Saturday, February 10th at Minerva High School.  The Titans were one of only three squads chosen from the Northeast Ohio Region and will compete in Columbus on Saturday,

Congratulations senior wrestlers!

Congratulations to Lorain High senior wrestlers Shawn Petty Jr., Blake Bartlome, Steven Reese, Kahlil Brown, Josh Martin and Cameron Seymore.  The team finished the regular season with a decisive win last night against a tough Strongsville team.  Our seniors have done a tremendous job all year as they now begin preparing for the OHSAA Sectional tournament.

Grant leads Lady Titans to back-to-back wins

Senior Nemaja Grant had a great week for the Lady Titans varsity basketball team leading the team in back-to-back wins.  She scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in a win against Maple Heights on Saturday, and came back to score 20 points and grab 6 rebounds in a win on Monday against Keystone.  

Wrestling youth clinic is a huge success!

The Lorain High wrestling program is currently hosting a youth clinic for students in grades 1-6.  The clinic is free of charge to all Lorain City Schools students and includes 4 sessions with 73 students registered.  The clinic is conducted by the high school staff along with the varsity wrestlers.  The clinic has been a huge

LCS Student-Athlete of the Week – Nahshiya Higgins

This week’s Lorain City School Student-Athlete of the Week is Southview Middle School 7th grade basketball player Nahshiya Higgins.   She has consistently improved since the start of the season while displaying great leadership and work ethic.  Nahshiya scored 11 points in a recent game against Heritage.  She also excels in the classroom earning Honor Roll for the
