Titans News · Fall Sports Parent Meeting Aug 14


You are cordially invited to the Fall Sports’ Parent Meeting on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 7pm in the cafeteria at Lorain High School.  The entrance to the cafeteria is located on the west side of the building where it reads “Lorain Athletics Center”.  The purpose of this meeting is to give parents the opportunity to meet with your child’s coach and to provide you with valuable information related to the Lorain City Schools Athletic Program.

The meeting will include information pertaining to the following:

  • Parent/Athlete Handbook / Parent/Coach Communication Pamphlet
  • FinalForms
  • NCAA Requirements
  • OHSAA Regulations
  • Insurance Information
  • Booster Club Membership
  • Player Expectation Levels
  • Seasonal Info
  • Social Media
  • Equipment & Apparel

After the meeting we will have a brief breakout session with individual sports so that parents have the opportunity to formally meet their child’s coach.  Coaches may choose at this time to review expectation levels for the upcoming season along with team rules and other details related to the sport.

A representative (player, parent, guardian, relative, etc.) for all high school athletes MUST be in attendance otherwise the athlete WILL NOT be permitted to participate in the upcoming season.  This attendance requirement only has to be met one time per school year.  For example, any athlete represented at the Fall Meeting is not required to attend the Winter or Spring meeting unless your child’s coach states otherwise.
